It was pretty good. I don't really have the strongest feelings about this, which is both a positive and negative thing. It means I didn't hate it - there was nothing glaringly bad about this book. The plot was fine, I liked the characters. The writing was even decent. But there was nothing...more. I didn't love this. I didn't find it to be a page turner. I cared about what was happening but...I want to say it was almost pred …Read More

loved it. so close to being a 5 for me. I loooooved Logan, and Matt and Paul are amazing too. It's well written, the sexual tension was palpable and hot af. The only thing keeping this a 4/5 is the ending felt too rushed. I know there is a follow up, but it didn't feel like there were any real consequences to Kit leaving. she made that huge sacrifice, the thing that had been built up as negative the entire book, and then in …Read More

Love Love Love Danny and Wyn. I think this has to have a 4 stars if only because Wyn's voice is nearly indistinguishable from his 20 something love interest for. a lot of this book. I think it is better at parts, but there are definitely times when it's hard to imagine Wyn as impossibly ancient.

I liked it. I liked Rikker a lot. I even liked Graham, even if he frustrated me for most of the book. The pacing was a smidge painful, tho. Because for 70% it felt like not much was happening. The first half kind of dragged as result. There was a lot of the boys avoiding each other, and a lot of Rikker dealing with being an openly gay athlete. But not a lot of progression for the relationship until the last quarter of the bo …Read More

This is the first gay romance book I've read. And I loved it. I love Wes and Jamie so much. This hit every trope I like in romance books. Friends to lovers, mostly. Also forbidden love, and public "can't keep my hands off you" sex/making out. It was hot, so freaking hot. I love how both Jamie's struggle with his sexuality, and Wes's struggle with thinking he was being a shit friend, played out. I thoroughly enjoyed this read …Read More

Janie was aggravating. For someone supposedly so smart, she was the a huge idiot.

Very similar to, and not nearly as good as, The Wall of Winnipeg and Me. I liked Cal and Cam, but the plot was weak. Sam was a cute kid, but served virtually no purpose in the plot except to provide an excuse for them to be forced together in the first place. He was there when the plot needed to be, and easily written away when having an 8 year old around wasn't convenient. He was more like an prop than another character. I …Read More

It was fine, but superfluous. And also, fuck you Mercy Celeste for the way this one ends.

3.5 Stars. Rounded up because good dads in romance are one of my biggest weaknesses.
There was more Drew and Drew sucks, there was less Gavin and Gavin was the best thing about the first one. The lack of communication was frustrating, but Carter's repeated failed attempts to ask Claire to marry him were hilarious. There were moments, like in the first one, where the comedy felt forced and the characters like cardboard cutouts …Read More

Not the best book with this trope I've ever read but it was pretty good.
