This book was a short read but extremely enjoyable. Kind of made me realize how important it is to be a part of a good community and have relationships that are meaningful and help you evolve in better ways. The author introduces us in the first half to a woman who is dumped by her boyfriend and hence falls into depression, while the second half focuses on her uncle who's bookshop she decides to work at. It was an okay read …Read More

I understand that the book revolving around the bug is supposed to be a metaphor but how do you make a reader go from being sympathetic to pulling out their hair in frustration! I did not like how things just happened without any explanation?! I don't read books to improve myself but rather to entertain my boring mind and this indeed scratched an itch but that's it?! I was promised or more like fooled into believing this wou …Read More

I'm just too dumb to understand Shakespeare style romance. I'd rather shit on my hands and clap than ever believe people falling in loving at first sight! Wake up! It's lust at first sight! And how did I go living so many years without ever knowing that they die?!?! But I'm down bad for the articulate and poetic writing though

This is what making one's childhood looks like.I watched the movie when I was a kid and wanted to teleport myself over to the Narnia world. Later on when I read the books perhaps it was nostalgia or me being sentimental but I still liked it very much. Healed little old me.

Could t finish the book!! The start was pretty good! It was engaging and intriguing but the characters were annoying especially the fl was irritating and the whole lying to best friend was so unnecessary. But I did enjoy it until I got the ick and dropped the book midway.

So so boring! I heard the series gets better after 2 books but neither do I have the time nor the patience to sit through more ass writing.

Finally decided to read the book after watching the movies way too many times and My God it was sooo good! One of the few times where the movie and the book is done right. Bawling out and reaching out for tissues even after knowing the story.

When I read this as a kid, it felt more like a bed time story and I did not spend my time uncovering the undertones. Maybe it's the nostalgia or placing myself as an adult in the story but I certainly enjoyed the book much better as of now. The message is simple and clear and can be summed up in a single line. Books with themes that can be conveyed in a single heavy and impactful dialogue impress me much more than unnecessar …Read More

Liked the book and liked the movie even more. Was a good read and satisfied my desire for some good fluff. The only con being the glamorized and idealized political views. If it were just two gay guys falling in love and having their happy Disney ending, I would be much happier.

Meatball gave me the ick. I'm critically picky when it comes to romance books but this one was one of the few times where the genre is done right! The characters were solid and the banter was pretty engaging. Mariana zapata is the kind of author who you go in with high expectations and come back with even higher and I surely have now experienced the effect.

Maybe I'm just not made for these kind of books. I did not want a what to do to be better and loose bad habits I wanted to be able to really apply stuff I read irl. But alas, this book was a disappointment. Another self help book that's all talk and no work!

I'd rather prefer being illiterate than reading this shit again! This genre just isn't for me. But I've seen few authors do this genre in a respectful way before. This was an instant dnf because who the fuck has thoughts like that?!
