Jun 4When I read this as a kid, it felt more like a bed time story and I did not spend my time uncovering the undertones. Maybe it's the nostalgia or placing myself as an adult in the story but I certainly enjoyed the book much better as of now. The message is simple and clear and can be summed up in a single line. Books with themes that can be conveyed in a single heavy and impactful dialogue impress me much more than unnecessary paragraphs of descriptions which I'm gonna end up skimming. The book very much focuses on how one should always have some degree of curiosity and excitement like that of a child. For a child these could be all the important things to learn but for adults it's more about practicing the message which is harder than a moment of thought. Yet it's hard for me to understand what more could a adult who's aware could get out of it.
