i’m seriously wondering why i am suddenly more than okay with reading monster porn.
i liked this book more than the first one, for sure. tons of spice, sweetness, and angst. i wasn’t sure at first how i felt about Seb and Lark as a couple, but they complement each other very well.
i also loved that we also got to see glimpses of Taylor and Holt and how in love they are.

Okay, I hated this book as much as I adored the first book. Good that my update about DNF-ing it disappeared into the abyss because boy did it make me feel emotions. I was never EVER been annoyed by an FMC in my reading carreer before. Well, I have my first. Gawd I became to hate an imaginary human. I need to chill, now that I'm writing this, I'm getting annoyed again. Whenever this character opened her mouth I wanted to bre …Read More

When characters are raw, unfiltered, and vulnerable, that's when I'm all in. I want that emotional closeness—the feeling that the writer is letting me inside, letting me actually feel what the characters feel.

Orgasmic blood drinking always gets me, and there is a lot of it. The author knows why you're reading this book and leans th …Read More

Wish it was longer and there was more introspection, but it was a lot of fun (and genuinely very creepy at times.... The hair scene was like something straight out of a horror story). I'll definitely be checking out the rest of the series.

The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho starts off with an interesting premise about following one's dreams and discovering one's purpose in life. The protagonist's journey through various countries and cultures is engaging and thought-provoking, and the idea of personal legend is inspiring.
However, as the story progresses, it becomes clear that the author is promoting a strong religious message that detracts from the overall enjoymen …Read More
