This was pretty good! I don't love fated mates, which this one skirted quite close to (without ever saying those words), but I thought the way that was handled was interesting - it examined that trope through a more skeptical lens, so the way the relationship eventually ended up felt more natural to me.
Orgasmic blood drinking always gets me, and there is a lot of it. The author knows why you're reading this book and leans the hell into it. By the end it felt like too much smut to me tbh, but it's all very well written.
The ending felt a little rushed, the side characters fell by the wayside, but overall this was pretty solid, and more or less what I was expecting/hoping.
