For me it was a perfectly balanced romance. It felt slow and fast paced in the same time somehow. Although Ilya is a jerk, he is totally lovable and Shane is a really good guy, total opposites. I love them both. Their relationship built up realistically I think and although the stakes were high, the angst was low though. So my heart was safe the whole time. Okay it could have been longer and more slowburn to be more realistic, but sometimes you just need a faster read, a quicky after reading so many longer books, too heavy ones or after listening to lots of 12 hour audiobooks. It was such a relief, a breather. I just ate it up in one sitting practically.
