Review by Sean Penn: writer, actor, world stage
MonI didn’t hate this. I think in someways it has some interesting thoughts on perusing dreams and looking out for signs.
Overall I thought it was pretty weak. The fact that people treat this as some sort of divine work is incredibly off putting. There’s a weird fandom behind this book and it kinda ruins my interpretation of the book.
It’s a simple story. Keep trying, someone will give up but not you. You’re “The Boy”. Everybody loves you “The Boy” and will work to help you. Thank god that God had it out for him to follow his dreams.
Best part was when the Alchemist said something along the line of talk to the hand.
