@ScribeAfterFive
Office girl from 8–5, a scribe from 5–who knows. I rate based on vibes, emotion, and late-night spirals. I love fantasy, romance, psychological thrillers, and the kind of emotional chaos that lingers for days. No lit degree—just a love for books.

He is a priest. She is a pole dancer.
That should’ve been the line I didn’t cross—
but here we are: spiritually compromised and completely obsessed.
McIntire knew exactly what she was doing. And she did it anyway.
SCANDALOUS! I love it.
Song choice for this book: Unholy by Sam Smith

This might honestly be my book of the month for July. It’s definitely one of those reads that actually lives up to the hype. I’m still frustrated I didn’t figure it out, but that’s exactly what made it so good. I love that Alex Michaelides doesn’t over explain things-he trusts the reader to piece things together, and the way he introduces characters leaves room for your own interpretation. Some chapters were tough to get thr …Read More

Enchantra had so much potential—but it honestly read like an early draft of Phantasma… or just a draft in general.
The real saving grace? Vivi and Rowen’s banter. Their dynamic had sparks, and it’s what kept me turning pages.
But beyond that, I wanted more. More from the trials. More depth to the premise. More layers in the worldbuilding and the magic system. Everything felt surface-level—especially in the later chapters, wher …Read More

This was my 10th book of June — and it’s a solid 5/5.
Femme fatale? Check.
DARK ACADEMIA? Absolutely.
Vampires, yearning, and complicated characters I loved trying to unravel and psychoanalyze like I was the last girl left in a lit class full of ghosts.
Poetic. Intimate. Haunting in all the right ways.
An Education in Malice doesn’t just read like a fever dream—it feels like one.
