Over all loved it.
The world building and detail put into explaining things without being overwhelming is something I appreciate immensely. Also the solid lore and rules on magic use is so refreshing after so much having little dictation on how magic works or comes from.
The combat scenes felt a bit odd in their description compared to the rest of the book but the almost video game style progression was really cool to see written.
Going to start the second book tomorrow.
