I really enjoyed it. If you are a statistics geek and love reading social science studies (I totally do), then you will get the most out of it. It also contains plenty of his humor which is great and adds breaks between the hard data.

The writing just wasn't very strong. When you read a good fantasy novel, you are pulled into the world. I never felt like I had a firm grip on all the terms and lore of this world. It read like a bad YA novel then intense smut scenes. The two parts just didn't flow together well.

Listened to the full cast audiobook.

I really enjoyed this story of Eli and Josh. I honestly would have read a longer story of them. But because it's a short story, there's not a long wait to get to the good stuff. I could have used a little more character building (but I chalk that up to how short it is).

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I wasn’t terribly engaged in this one. It took a while to get through, even though I was listening to the audiobook. I thought it was just OK. I’m not sure if I’ll read the rest of the series, but I may.

“Fear and superstition are weapons far more terrifying than rifles and bombs. Even in a world where the strangest events can occur, anxiety and bland beliefs foster violence.”

Ain’t that the truth! Beautiful art and great story. I look forward to reading more from this author.

Barely any story and mostly replays what you already know from the first movie. Also it’s hard to tell characters apart in print.

Only reason it isn’t a full five stars is because it’s so short. Beautifully written and I look forward to reading her full length novels.

I’ve heard about this book for years and finally got around to reading it. I wish it were longer. I wish there were sequels. I wish there was a tv show and a series of movies. I just absolutely loved it. A great read.

This is so well written and so good, but it doesn’t really get moving till 200 pages in. Loved the characters and the story had me guessing right up til the end. Great heat between the lead couple and I can’t wait to see where Jules and Ruben’s story ends up (in several books). This was my first ever full length romance novel and it was a good one.

Finally!! An exciting return to form. So much spookier and more satisfying in 34 pages than the show ever was.

“Oh what a beautiful morning!”
