Oct 16, 2023I admit I came into this book with a 'wealthy white privilege' prejudice, but I thought, "Anderson Cooper will give us an unbiased view"... well, I was wrong.
When I started reading the one sided account of about poor Gladys being kicked out of the Breakers, I rolled my eyes and thought, "here we go...". Trying so hard to make her seem down to earth with how she polished the brass and would hang out with the staff...
In trying to make family members seem like victims, Anderson Cooper just showed me that he is actually biased and out of touch with the real world.
